In this guide, we’ll show you how to catch a Barboach in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Barboach is a Water/Ground type Pokémon that evolves into Whiscash when leveled up. This Pokemon looks like a loach with very small eyes. It has a gray body and blue fins with black spots on them. It has a zigzag black line running along its length.
Muddy water is the natural habitat of the Barboach Pokemon. Even if it lives in the mud, the slippery mucus on its body protects Barboach from infection. Their whiskers act as radar to help them navigate in dark waters.
Where to find Barboach in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
If you want to find a Barboach, you will need to go to the South Province (Area Four). Once you get there, you will see a watchtower there. The spawn location can be found south of that watchtower.
If you go south, you will find several ponds next to the sea. You will need to check these ponds to see if there are any Barboach swimming around. This is a rare Pokemon, so sometimes it takes about 15 minutes to find them.
You don’t need surfing ability to interact with this Pokemon. Throw a Pokeball when you find it.
