In this ARK Survival Evolved guide, I’ll show you how to tame a Fjordhawk on Fjordur. I will also show you the best location to find this creature. We will go over its abilities. This bird is quite difficult to tame. However, it is very useful for completing challenging missions such as getting wyvern eggs, or artifacts. So it is definitely worth taming.
Where to Find Fjordhawk on Fjordur
The first location can be found at coordinates 14 and 25. There’s a big valley there where you can find Fjordhawks. The valley is located in the upper left corner of the map. The second location will be at coordinates 76 and 37. Once you get there you will see a big waterfall. The second spot is much better because there are bigger creatures roaming around, which makes the taming process go much quicker.
How to Tame the Fjordhawk
You will be able to tame these birds by killing medium to large-sized dinosaurs for them. The Fjordhawks will consume their corpses. So it will be a very laborious process. You can also tame a Fjordhawk by killing small dinosaurs, but it will take hours. You will need to equip yourself with good armor and bring a strong tame that can kill medium to large-sized dinosaurs.
Abilities
If you press the F key twice, Fjordhawk will go, pick up your bag and grab it for you. This is a very useful skill if you have valuables that you can’t reach. If you drop an item in a cave, this creature can go and bring it back to you.
Fjordhawk’s best ability is to recover your stuff. As soon as you die, your items spawn with you in the new location. You can use this creature for suicide runs to get Magmasaur eggs, wyvern eggs, or artifacts.
