We don’t have traps in V Rising. So, we will make our own traps until we get one. It’s very cheap to make and you can use your trap base as your second headquarters.
How to Make a Trap Base
First, you need to build your trap base right next to a road. The trap base needs to be located in a very high foot traffic area. Farming areas or boss locations are ideal spots for locating traps. You have to make sure that nothing is blocking the way. Then you need to make at least 3 rooms. One of them will be the room where you will hide in the corner and wait for the victim. If you don’t do it on the blood moon, players won’t be able to see you.
There are two different ways to disguise yourself from victims. If you turn into a rat form, your nameplate will not appear. You can put a Vermin Nest inside the trap base and pretend to be a normal rat among others. Or you can sleep in the coffin while waiting for your victim to be trapped. Either way, people won’t notice you, because your nameplate won’t be visible.
As soon as the victim enters the trap room, press the B key and quickly close the trap door. They won’t be able to get out. Players will have to kill their characters and leave everything they have in the trap base to get out.
Not having a door will look suspicious, so don’t set your trap in level three areas. Experienced players don’t fall for it. The trap base in V Rising makes victims so angry. Players will come with Stone Golems to destroy it. Make sure you don’t have any valuable items inside. You can protect your base from angry players by moving your trap to another location from time to time.
