First of all, you need to prepare for the fight and come fully loaded to kill this boss. Before going to the arena, you need to get each of the following consumables.
- Witch Potion
- Brew of Ferocity
- Enchanted Brew
- Holy Resistance Flask
- Potion of Rage
These consumables will increase your physical strength, spell power, and holy resistance. You will be using magical and physical attacks during the boss fight.
Here is the list of gear and abilities you need to take down the boss.
- Accessory: Shard of the Frozen Crypt
- Weapon: Sanguine Reaper
- Veil of Bones
- Arctic Leap
- Sanguine Coil
- Chaos Volley
At the beginning of the fight, you will fight Solarus alone. He will use a spinning blade attack to destroy you. Get out of the way of the single blade to avoid this attack. Otherwise, the blade will stun you.
The boss will also summon more than 15 light beams to attack. It takes some time to learn how to properly avoid these light beams. You can pass through gaps to avoid them. The beams are always in a specific pattern and the space between the beams gets bigger.
Nuke down the Solarus as fast as possible
From time to time, Solarus summons holy wells that cast holy beams of light. When the boss moves to the center of the arena, try to nuke down the boss as fast as possible and use the Sanguine Coil to restore your health.
Things get a little more serious when the boss summons an angel avatar. The angel has a melee attack and a line attack that is very hard to avoid. And shoots holy bullets at you from outside the room. When the boss reaches 50% health, be ready for the angel.
Once the angel avatar appears, do not attack the angel. Just ignore the angel and keep nuking the boss as fast as you can. You will kill the angel later. When the health is low enough, the boss will move to the center of the arena and shield himself. This is when you will start fighting the angel. The more damage the angel takes, the more dangerous attacks she can make. You have to be careful because she will start using some of Solarus’ abilities.
Time to destroy Solarus in V Rising
Once the angel avatar’s health drops to zero, she will turn into a fallen angel. From this time, the fallen angel will be on your side. So you can only focus on killing the boss. Solarus will try to jump on you and crush you with his sword. You should stay off to the side of the arena or use your travel skill to avoid taking damage as it’ll easily kill you.
